The children learn phonics throughout Early Years and KS1 and for some children in KS2.
It is taught daily, in short sessions so that children can build up and practice skills they need to use in reading and writing.
Practising the sounds is really vital.
We use a synthetic Phonics programme: Essential Letters & Sounds

How to help your child at home
- Practice the reading of the sounds brought home in your child's sound wallets (Reception only)
- Practice the formation of the letter sounds
- Find objects around your home that contain that sound
