School Uniform

We believe that children wearing a consistent uniform helps to instil a sense of belonging , which in turn encourages good behaviour and a respect for others. It allows children to be readily identified as belonging to our school community and fosters school spirit. It allows children to be treated equally with the values of individuality and self-expression not determined by what they might wear. Above all, it gives the children the opportunity to wear their uniform with pride – to be proud of themselves and of Our Lady and St. John’s.

As children join our school in September, they can wear summer or winter uniform, but after October half term only full winter uniform is to be worn. Summer uniform can be be worn on return from Easter holidays and after May half term only summer uniform is to be worn.

Our EYFS children have their own uniform which they wear all year (jogging bottoms in the winter are changed to school shorts in the summer.
