Welcome to Our Lady & St John's Catholic Primary School and our website which I hope gives you a greater insight to the wonderful school we are.
As parents, you are child’s first educators. As a parent myself with two primary school aged children of my own, I understand how much trust you place in a school. I understand the hopes and dreams you carry for your children, and I share your belief in the importance of a strong, nurturing partnership between home and school.
Our school’s mission, “We live, learn and love with Jesus,” is one that I fully embrace, and I strive each day to ensure it is reflected in all that we do. The dedicated staff and governors are here to ensure every child receives an exceptional Catholic education so they can flourish and develop their God given gifts and talents spiritually, personally and academically. Similarly we work in collaboration with our parents to ensure that we are striving to achieve excellence for all our children.
We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, designed to educate the whole child and send them forward into the world being 'the best that they can be'. Catholic religious education is the 'core of the curriculum' (Saint Pope John Paul II ) and the foundation of the whole educational process. Our mission is to ensure that every child has access to an excellent school experience in every way.
This school holds a very special place in my heart, not only as an educator, but as someone who once walked these very corridors as a pupil. Our Lady and St John’s played a significant role in shaping the person I am today, and it is both a privilege and a blessing to now return and serve the community that helped lay the foundations of my faith, character, and love of learning.
